TBA Seeking Expression of Interest from Bowlers with an Intellectual Disability

Tenpin Bowling Australia is seeking expressions of interest from bowlers with an intellectual disability (as classified under the TBA Rules) to participate in the National Restricted Teams Challenge at this year’s Australian Adult Championship which will be held in Melbourne.

The aim is to enter both a men’s and women’s team into the National Restricted Teams Challenge.

TBA is also seeking expression of interest from Coaches and Managers for positions associated with both teams.

Some key information to consider:

• Participants must have bowled a minimum 24 games in a registered centre before 31st of December 2017
• Averages cannot exceed 184 in the Men’s Division and 174 in the Ladies Division
• Bowler must have competed at the 2018 National Disability Championships and competed in either the Open Challenge, Cole Cup or Masters Event
• The event is self-funded – the match fees will be around $400
• Accommodation and transport will be required for the event in Melbourne
• Bowlers will be expected to follow a schedule of events and instructions made by Tenpin Bowling Australia and the appointed team staff members.

The successful applicants will be announced at the 2018 Disability Championship presentation dinner.
