SA Youth Masters Could Decide Rankings Points Leaders

Friday, August 24, 2018

Adelaide and Bowland Salisbury will play host to the South Australian Youth Masters this weekend with local and interstate bowlers ready to impress on the national stage.

This weekend will be one of only two opportunities left to gain rankings points in 2018, and the race for the number one position will be on this weekend.

2017 SA Youth winner Jayden Panella will go head to head with fellow World Youth silver medallist Blayne Fletcher.  The pair recently claimed a silver medal in the doubles event in the US and this weekend they will go head to head.

Another teammate who sits in second behind Fletcher on the rankings is Matt Clague.  The talented Queenslander will be wanting to take home his second ranked event win of the year following a win at the Werribee Youth Cup.

In the girls division, rankings leader Emma Stephens will compete this weekend and will be aiming for her second ranked event title of 2018.  Stephens will battle it out with local bowler, Jamie Phelan who took the honours at the Sydney Youth Cup.
