2025 IBF World Championships – Top Bowl, Kowloon, Hong Kong – Day 2

Day 2 dawns at the 2025 IBF World Championships in Hong Kong, and Team Australia enters the new day with momentum after a strong showing from the men in yesterday’s Singles qualification. The highlight came from Blake Walsh, who delivered a composed late surge to secure Australia’s first Top 32 berth of the tournament.

With the men’s opening event now complete and the stage set for the next wave of competition, today’s focus shifts to the Women’s Singles, and another opportunity for Australia to push deeper into the Championship rounds.

The first event of the tournament delivered exactly what you’d expect from a 168-bowler world-class field: high scoring, tight margins, and cut-line drama right to the final frames.

With every athlete placing 107th or better averaging over 200, it was a brutal scoring pace from the opening squad. All six Australian athletes held their own, with every member finishing inside the top 76.
