2025 TBA National Rankings Finalised

Recognising the athletes who led their divisions across the 2025 nationally ranked season.

The 2025 TBA National Rankings have now been officially finalised, marking the conclusion of another competitive and rewarding ranked season across Australia.

Across the calendar year, athletes competed in nationally ranked events spanning multiple divisions, accumulating points through consistent performance, podium finishes and event participation. The final standings reflect not only tournament success, but sustained excellence across the season.

With the 2025 rankings confirmed, we acknowledge and celebrate the athletes who led their respective divisions and now join the official honour roll of Australian tenpin bowling.

About the TBA National Rankings

The TBA National Rankings system rewards performance across accredited nationally ranked events throughout the calendar year.

Points are accumulated based on event results, with standings updated following each ranked tournament. Final positions are determined at the conclusion of the ranked season.

The system recognises consistency, competitiveness and commitment to national competition across all divisions.

2025 Division Leaders & Final Standings

Open Division

🥇Rank 1 – Bernie Grueso Jnr (ZONE BOWLING Frankston, VIC)

Points:  358

Season Highlights: Won the TBA Australian Masters and added two runners-up finishes at the Australian Open and the season-ending Gunspray Salisbury Open. His lowest result, a 12^th-place finish at the Melbourne Tenpin Cup, was discarded under ranking calculations. Strong supporting performances – including 4^th at the NSW Open and 7^th at the Kegel, cemented the top standing for the young 24 year-old Victorian, securing his second Open Rankings title in consecutive years after claiming his first in 2024.

Women’s Division

🥇Rank 1 – Bec Whiting (ZONE BOWLING Frankston, VIC)

Points:  380 pts

Season Highlights–

Won yet another TBA Australian Masters for the third time in her career. Added further titles at the NSW Open and Vic150, along with a runner-up finish at the Queensland Ladies Classic. After finishing second to Bek Martin in 2024, Bec Whiting returned to the summit in 2025, reclaiming the top ranking she last held in 2023.

Male

🥇Rank 1 – William Zaccaria (Wyncity Keon Park, VIC)

Points:  315 pts

Season Highlights–

Claimed the season-opening TBA Australian Junior Masters and never relinquished momentum. Followed with back-to-back titles at the Queensland Junior Cup and a podium third at the Louise Eady Melbourne Junior Cup. His lowest finish – 6^th at the Sydney Junior Cup was excluded from calculations, while a 5^th-place finish at the Wyncity Youth Cup strengthened his points tally, securing his first national rankings title.

🥈 Rank 2 – Julian Dinham (NSW) – 280 pts

🥉 Rank 3 – Joshua Buttigieg (NSW) – 216 pts

🥇Rank 1 – Bella Westlake (Mt Warren Lanes, QLD)

Points:  270 pts

Season Highlights–

Opened the season with consistent top-10 finishes (5^th and 9^th) before capturing her first podium of the year with a third-place finish at the Louise Eady Melbourne Junior Cup. That performance sparked momentum, leading to victory at the Sydney Junior Cup at Bowlfest. A crucial 4^th-place finish at the Grand National Youth Eliminator in Caboolture helped Bella secure top position in a tightly contested race. After finishing runner-up in 2024, she went one step further in 2025 to claim her first national rankings title.

Male

🥇Rank 1 – Jackson Buckingham (Logan City Tenpin, QLD)

Points:  335 pts

Season Highlights–

An early campaign victory at the TBA21 National Masters, helped set the tone for the season. Added a 4^th-place finish at Wyncity Youth and secured his second title at the Sydney Youth Cup. Although absent from the Grand National Youth Eliminator, a runner-up finish in the Australian Masters Open division proved decisive in securing the overall title in a tight race.

🥇Rank 1 – Samantha Clifton (Dullboy’s Social Co. , NSW)

Points:  295 pts

Season Highlights–

Secured her second consecutive rankings title, continuing her rising star status. A 5^th-place finish at the TBA21 Masters, she captured her first podium with a runner-up result at Wyncity Youth and added a third at the Sydney Youth Cup. Despite missing the Grand National Youth Eliminator, a victory at the Queensland Ladies Classic in the Women’s Division provided maximum ‘best other’ points, sealing her top ranking.

Male

🥇Rank 1 – Ashley Riley (The Alley Entertainment Centre, TAS)

Points:  212 pts

Season Highlights –

Tasmanian Ashley Riley secured his second consecutive Senior Rankings title through consistency and key podium performances. After opening with a 9^th place finish, he captured victory at the SA Seniors Classic and added a third-place finish at the Brunswick Seniors Classic. Consistent results across the calendar ensured back-to-back division honours.

🥇Rank 1 – Dena Buxton (3D Lanes Wodonga, VIC)

Points:  380 pts

Season Highlights –

Victorian Dena Buxton continued her dominance of the Senior Division, claiming her third consecutive ranking title (2023-2025). Victories at the Hammer and John Sullivan AO laid the foundation for her campaign. Despite missing the SA Seniors Classic, she returned with a runner-up finish at the Brunswick Seniors to confirm her standing atop the division.

Male

🥇Rank 1 – David Farquharson (Bendigo Bowling Centre, VIC)

Points:  335 pts

Season Highlights –

After consecutive runner-up finishes to Jim Bakirtzidis in 2023 and 2024, David Farquharson claimed the top ranking in 2025. His lowest finishes were 4^th place at both the Hammer and SA Seniors Classic. A runner-up at the John Sullivan AO preceded back-to-back victories at the Brunswick Seniors and TBA50 National Masters, securing the title in another tightly contested race.

🥇Rank 1 – Heather Robertson (Suncity Tenpin,QLD)

Points:  400 pts

Season Highlights –

After finishing runner-up to Julie Harrison in 2024, Heather Robertson returned to the top position she previously held in 2023. Delivering a near-flawless campaign, she finished with a maximum 400 points. Heather was the leading Grand Senior at the Hammer, John Sullivan AO, TBA50 Masters and SA Seniors Classic, with her third-place finish at the Brunswick Seniors excluded from calculations. A commanding season from the consistent Queenslander.

Male

🥇Rank 1 – Pino Mascetti (Wyncity Keon Park, VIC

Points:  335 pts

Season Highlights –

Victorian Pino Mascetti returned to the top of the Inclusion Rankings after claiming the inaugural title in 2023. Opened with a runner-up finish at the TBA Inclusion Cup before dominating the National Disability Championships, securing maximum points from both the Masters and All-Events categories. Closed the season with a 4^th place finish at the inaugural Inclusion NSW Open.

🥇Rank 1 – Violet Martinsen – Coolangatta Tweed Tenpin, NSW

Points:  200 pts

Season Highlights –

What a season for Violet Martinsen. After finishing outside the top ten in the first two Inclusion ranking seasons, she captured titles at both the TBA Inclusion Cup and the inaugural Inclusion NSW Open. In the tightest race across all divisions, the final Inclusion NSW Open proved decisive, with Violet edging Amanda Threlfall by just five points to end the Victorian’s two-year hold on the division.

A Year of Competition

The 2025 rankings now become part of the official historical record of TBA’s nationally ranked era, adding new names to the honour roll of athletes who have led their divisions at the national level.

We congratulate all ranked competitors who participated throughout the season and acknowledge the commitment required to compete at the national level across the year.

With the 2025 chapter now formally closed, attention turns to the 2026 ranked season already underway.
