35th National Disability Championship Preview

Get ready for an extraordinary celebration of inclusivity and tenpin bowling skill at the 35th National Disability Championship! This highly anticipated event will be held at ZONE BOWLING Tuggeranong in the ACT from June 5th to 15th, 2024. Dedicated to tenpin bowlers with a disability, this championship is renowned as one of Australia’s most attended single sport events for people with a disability.

  • Over 380 bowlers from every state across the nation will gather to showcase their talent and spirit.
  • Bowlers will compete in Singles, Doubles, and Teams events, each featuring a three-game series.
  • Bowlers are graded within similar average ranges providing an inclusive competition from beginners to our elite bowlers, aiming for medals and qualification in three master events: Restricted, Classic, and Open Masters.
  • The event will also host the second and third nationally ranked events for the Inclusion division: Classic/Open All-Events and Classic/Open Masters. A friendly reminder to all bowlers wishing to be ranked for their performances in these events to have an upgraded silver registration attached to their profiles before the commencement of the Masters Finals on Friday, 14 June 2024.   • State v State Challenge Day on June 12th promises an electric atmosphere with two major events: the Cole Cup Challenge and the Michael Cooke Memorial Shield. Keep an eye out for exciting news about this challenge coming early next week!
  • The mighty team from New South Wales will strive to capture their fifth straight Michael Cooke Memorial Shield.
  • Wednesday, 5 June 2024: National Disability Championship commences
  • Saturday, 8 June 2024: Official Opening Ceremony: Teams and bowlers will proudly walk into the bowl waving their association flags.
  • Wednesday, 12 June 2024: State Team Challenge Day: Teams from across the nation will compete in the Cole Challenge Cup and Michael Cooke Memorial Shield. This event will be live streamed! Head to tenpin.org.au/ndc for video content from 8am
  • Friday, 14 June 2024: Masters Finals Day: Featuring three Master events for – Restricted, Classic, and the Open Master’s with both the Classic and Open Masters being a nationally ranked event for the Inclusion Division.
  • Friday, 14 June 2024: Celebration Dinner: A night to celebrate the 35th Anniversary with friends old and new. 
  • Saturday, 15 June 2024: Care Givers Challenge & Presentations:  This popular event will wrap up the championship with presentations and presenting the flag to the 2025 host state WA.
