Are you passionate about bowling and want to share that passion with others? The Level 1 Coaching Course is your first step toward becoming an accredited coach with Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA).

What’s Involved?

The TBA Level 1 coaching accreditation is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of coaching. This online course covers:

• Roles and Responsibilities of a Coach: Learn what it takes to guide and inspire.
• Skill Development: Master the progression from two-handed delivery to the basic four-step approach.
• Sport Safety: Ensure a safe environment for your students.
• Positive Coaching: Create a positive and supportive atmosphere.
• Rules and Regulations: Understand the core rules of the game.
• Programs and Opportunities: Explore the various programs you can coach.
• Video Analysis: Dive into case studies for a practical understanding.

Who Should Enrol?

This program is ideal for:

• Bowlers looking to give back to the sport
• Teachers and educators
• Parents of young bowlers
• Centre staff wanting to expand their roles
• As a Level 1 coach, you’ll be equipped to lead beginner bowling programs, including Sporting Schools and Bowl Patrol.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Be a current registered TBA member
• Hold a valid Working with Children check or equivalent in your state

Enrolment Process:

• Getting started is easy! Simply:
• Complete the New Coach Registration Form.
• Agree to the Coach/Official Code of Behaviour.
• Submit a Personal Character Declaration.
• Make your payment via credit card or bank transfer.
• Provide a quality headshot photo.
• Complete the required Play by the Rules courses.

Start with a Bowl Patrol ‘Lane Ranger’ qualification. This 3-hour face-to-face course is a perfect introduction and is offered complimentary at participating centres.
