Australia is back on the lanes tonight as Men’s Trios Round 2 begins at the 2025 IBF World Championships, with the trio of Julian Dinham, Luke Doyle and Blake Walsh now in action for their seven-game matchplay block.
After a strong performance in qualification earlier today — highlighted by consistent scoring and a composed finish — the Aussie trio now enters the Top 16 phase of the event, where the format sharpens dramatically.
Only the top two teams from each group of eight will advance to the semi-finals.
Format at a Glance
Round 2 is contested in round-robin matchplay across seven Baker-format games.
- 3 points for a win
- 1 point for a tie
- 0 points for a loss
At the end of the seven matches, the two top teams with the most points progresses to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals and grand final (held later this week) will be contested as best-of-three Baker matches.
