Australia lands in Malaysia for 25th MILO Storm U22 International Junior All-Stars 2025

Following the conclusion of the 2025 IBF World Championships, Team Australia’s junior and youth bowlers have arrived in Malaysia for the 25th MILO Storm U22 International Junior All-Stars 2025 event at Sunway Megan Lanes, Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia between 8-13 December 2025.
The 25th MILO Storm U22 International Junior All-Stars Bowling Championship is for juniors age 21 and under (born in 2004 or after) and is an International Bowling Federation (IBF) and Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) sanctioned event.
The Championships have been frequently visited by Australian bowlers for much of the history of the event, this year, Australia is sending the Youth High Performance Squad to gain valuable exposure and experience on an international stage for many of the rising stars – for the first time.
The MILO All-Stars is one of Asia’s most prestigious youth events, renowned for producing future national team athletes across the region. For Australia’s Youth High Performance Squad, it represents a rare chance to compete in a high-pressure international environment and fast-track their development against some of the strongest junior bowlers in the world.
Classification
There are several different classifications for the Championships, including:
- 12 and under – 12 years old and below
- 15 and under – 15 years old and below
- Graded – 21 years old and below
- Open – 21 years old and below – Best of 2MQ’s
- Super Junior – 29 years old and below
The Australian team will be competing in the Open classification.

- Qualifying Scores based on 6 games (best of 2 MQ’s)
- Last squad for qualifying is on 12 December at 9:00pm
- Round 1 final on 13 December from 3:00pm
- Round 2 final on 14 December from 9:00am

Round 3 – Semi-Finals

| The 4th, 3rd and 2nd Position bowler from Round 2 to bowl one game. Highest pinfall to proceed to Round 4. 2nd highest pinfall to take 3rd position at the lowest pinfall to take 4th position. | The 4th, 3rd, and 2nd position bowler from Round 2 to bowl one game. Round 4 – Finals

| The 1st placed bowler from Round 2 and winner from Round 3 will meet in the Finals. The Finals will be held in a 1+1 game format. If the top placed bowler wins the 1st game, he shall be declared as Champion. Should the winner from Round 3 wins the 1st game, there would be a ‘sudden death’ play-off on 1 game. Whoever wins the game shall be declared Champion. | The 1st place bowler from Round 2 and winner from Round 3 will meet in the Finals. The Finals will be held in a 1+1 game format. Squad Times
Australia will compete in 15 squads each from now until Friday nights Desperado Squad in attempt to qualify for the next rounds of the Championship that begin on the weekend.
Malaysia is 2 hours behind Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST e.g. Brisbane).
