IBF Para Bowling World Championships – Postponement Notice

Following the selection of the Australian team, Tenpin Bowling Australia was advised by the International Bowling Federation (IBF) that the 2026 IBF Para Bowling World Championships has been postponed.

In a letter dated 19 March 2026, IBF President Sheikh Talal M. Al Sabah advised member federations that the decision was made in response to the evolving situation in the Middle East and the associated uncertainty surrounding international travel, airline operations, and global fuel supplies.

The IBF has indicated that the Championships are proposed to be rescheduled to late 2026 or early 2027 and is currently exploring alternative options for staging the event, including identifying suitable dates.

What This Means for Our Team

The athletes named above remain Australia’s selected team for the next IBF Para Bowling World Championships. Their selection stands, and they will represent Australia when the event is rescheduled. We may make further selections to the Team once the venue and new date have been confirmed.

Tenpin Bowling Australia will communicate updated event details – including revised dates and location – to our community as soon as this information is confirmed by the IBF.

We congratulate all selected athletes on their achievements and look forward to supporting them throughout 2026 and beyond.
