‘Come for the bowling – Stay for the atmosphere -Leave with memories you won’t forget!’
This is the catchcry for the NSW COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS & MASTERS – and bowlers and their families are heeding the message!
Tournament organisers are delighted to announce that a week out from the start of this popular event entries are well above previous levels, with bowlers from across regional New South Wales, the ACT and even Victoria registered. Families and groups from country towns and numerous suburbs around Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle will soon join the throng of locals in Orange for an unforgettable Australia Day Long Weekend event.
Proudly supported by Orange City Council, the NSW Country Championships & Masters is a graded tournament catering for Adults, Seniors and Juniors at all levels of skills of the sport.
Tenpin bowling is renowned as a family-friendly sport and this year’s NSW Country Championships has attracted entries from two- and three-generations of bowling families. They will be rubbing shoulders with one of the most famous bowlers in the world – Orange local Jason Belmonte – who will be hitting the lanes at Orange Tenpin Bowl this weekend. The rescheduled start of the 2026 pro-Tour season in the United States has provided a unique opportunity for Jason and his son Hugo to compete together in Doubles and Teams events in the NSW Country Championships this year.
