Australia Cleans Up Medals at Special Olympics Asia Pacific Bocce & Bowling Competition

Four Australian bowlers proudly represented the country at the recent Special Olympics Asia Pacific Bocce and Bowling Competition held in New Delhi, India, from 18–22 November.
The event, designed specifically for athletes aged 22 and older, provided an incredible opportunity for more mature competitors to experience the joy of being part of a travelling team. For the Australian athletes, this was their first international competition, but their results showcased remarkable composure and skill.
The Australian team—Adam Catton, Cameron Johnstone, Jacqui Thomas, and Lynne Glaisher—wore the green and gold with pride, earning medals across multiple events in the bowling competition. In total, the team secured medals in five different events:
- Gold – Men’s Doubles: Adam Catton and Cameron Johnstone
- Silver – Teams: Australia
- Silver – Women’s Doubles: Jacqui Thomas and Lynne Glaisher
- Silver – Men’s Singles: Adam Catton
- Bronze – Women’s Singles: Lynne Glaisher
