Following the vacancy of a board position from the appointment of Ryan Edgar as the Interim CEO, the Tenpin Bowling Australia Board is pleased to announce that Bec Whiting has been appointed by the Board to take on this crucial role.

As a current league bowler and respected member of the National Training Squad (NTS), representing Zone Frankston, Bec brings a wealth of experience and passion for the sport to the Board of Directors. Bec’s leadership qualities, combined with her dedication to progressing the sport makes her a valuable addition to TBA.

Hish Fernando, Chair of TBA, referenced Bec’s existing professional career in Government, highlighting her strong governance and policy expertise as major benefits to supporting TBA’s vision into the immediate future.

“Bec is someone that loves the sport, defines high performance, and a role model for young athletes. Developing talent like Bec at a board level is crucial for the longevity of the NSO. We’re keen to have her extend beyond the initial term.”

In accordance with Section 9.8 of the Tenpin Bowling Australia Constitution, when a Director’s position becomes vacant outside of the Annual General Meeting, the Board has the authority to appoint a Member to fill the casual vacancy. It’s important to note that in line with our Constitution, an appointment via casual vacancy is effective only until the next Annual General Meeting and remains eligible for re-election.

Please join us in extending our warmest congratulations to Bec Whiting on her appointment to the Tenpin Bowling Australia Board.
