The 2026 Hammer Queensland Senior Classic was held at Caboolture Bowl & Mini-Golf from 16-18 January, marking the opening national ranked event of the season for senior and grand senior competitors. The tournament featured four nationally ranked divisions and provided the first opportunity of 2026 for bowlers to secure valuable ranking points.

🥇 Winner: Andrew Thorpe (VIC)

🥈 Runner-up: Adam Hayes (VIC)

🥉 Third: Carl Bottomley (QLD)

The Senior Male title was claimed by Andrew Thorpe (Victoria), representing Wyncity Keon Park. This marked Andrew’s second Hammer title, following his first victory in 2018.

🥇 Winner: Samantha Matthews (WA)

🥈 Runner-up: Lee Booth (QLD)

🥉 Third: Sue Cassell (QLD)

The Senior Female title was claimed by Samantha Matthews (Western Australia), representing Zone Bowling Cannington.  This was Samantha’s second Hammer title after winning her first in 2024.

🥇 Winner: Graeme Morgan (QLD)

🥈 Runner-up: David Farquharson (VIC)

🥉 Third: Jim Bakirtzidis (NSW)

The Grand Senior Men title was claimed by Graeme Morgan (Queensland), representing Logan City Tenpin Bowl. Graeme is a multiple-time winner of the event winning back-to-back Senior Men titles in 2011-2012.

The Grand Senior Women title was claimed by Robyn Flynn (Victoria), representing Oz Tenpin Chirnside Park. Robyn is a multiple year winner of the event winning back-to-back senior women titles at the event in 2009-2010.
