Team Australia is set to hit the lanes in Reno, Nevada, as the 2025 IBF World Seniors Championship officially gets underway.

After completing their official practice sessions today, the team joined 38 other nations for the vibrant Opening Ceremony, where athletes were formally welcomed to the Championship.

Practice ran smoothly, with spirits high across the squad. To the surprise of no one, the first “Farqy’ of the campaign was bowled by Grand Senior member Robyn Flynn. For those unfamiliar, the “Farqy’ – a uniquely Australian nickname for the 5-7-10 split – is named after Grand Senior teammate David Farquharson. Robyn was all smiles as she delivered the first one in Reno for Team Australia!

With practice wrapped up, the team now shifts focus to competition mode, enjoying a well-earned rest before the first official event begins in the early hours of Saturday morning (AEST).

A big shoutout also goes to the nine registered supporters who have made the long trip to Reno to cheer on the green and gold – no doubt we’’’ be hearing plenty of Aussie, Aussie, Aussie throughout the week.
