The 2025 IBF World Seniors Championships rolls into its final stages in Reno, with the spotlight now turning to the Masters event- the ultimate individual test of skill, endurance, and composure.
After a huge day that delivered five medals and lifted Australia’s tally to nine overall, Team Australia returns to the lanes with momentum and belief, featuring 12 representatives across all four divisions. 🇦🇺🎳
Masters Format Explained
The Masters features five elimination steps, with all bowlers starting fresh from scratch. The top 24 athletes from the All-Events standings advance, seeded 1-25, and face off in best-of-three, head-to-head match play.
- Step 1 – Seeds 9-24 bowl, 8 winners advance
- Step 2 – Seeds 1-8 join the 8 Step 1 winners, 8 advance
- Step 3 – 8 winners face off, 4 advance
- Step 4 – 4 athletes battle for 2 finals spots
- Step 5 – The remaining 2 athletes contest the Masters Final
Day 5 will feature the opening two steps of the Masters competition, setting the stage for a thrilling run toward the final titles.
