Tenpin Bowling Australia transfers Centre Management to ATOM Sports Australia

Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) is pleased to announce the transfer of operations and management of the AGL National High Performance Centre to ATOM Sports Australia. This transition marks a significant milestone for our sport, as ATOM Sports Australia’s parent company boasts a track record of successful entertainment locations internationally.

TBA is excited about the opportunities that come with having a large investor take a keen interest in tenpin bowling. This partnership highlights the potential for growth and development in our beloved sport.

Rest assured, the AGL National High Performance Centre will continue to host tournaments and support our National Training Squad with no changes to its sports offerings. The Centre will remain a hub for high-performance training and competition, ensuring continuity and excellence.

Graham Pearson, Chairman of Tenpin Bowling Australia, commented on the transition, saying, “This new partnership allows TBA to concentrate on its core activities while still maintaining a high-performance venue that meets the needs of our athletes and community. The AGL National High Performance Centre has a jam-packed lineup of events planned for the latter half of 2024, including:

• Suncity Women’s Open – 24-25 August 2024
• TBA National Championships – 14-23 October 2024: featuring the Walter Rachuig Trophy Tournament, Australian Masters, National Graded Cup, and National Classic Cup.
• National Youth Championships – 24-27 October 2024: featuring the TBA21 National Masters and TBA21 National Teams Challenge.
• National Senior Championship – 22-28 November 2024: concluding the year with the TBA50 National Masters and TBA50 National Teams Challenge. The NTS50 and NTS65 Trials will also be run in conjunction with the TBA50 National Masters in 2024.

Dates for these national championship events have been previously communicated. Additional information and entry details are being finalised and will be communicated to members shortly.
