Jarrod Langford Wins Bronze in Men’s All-Events at the 27th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships

Team Australia’s Jarrod Langford has added another medal to his already stellar campaign at the 27th MWA Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, securing the bronze medal in the Men’s All-Events category.
Langford, known as the “King of the North,” entered the Championships as one of Australia’s top hopes, and he did not disappoint. His consistency and skill across all four events—singles, doubles, trios, and team of five—saw him finish with a total of 5,187 pins, averaging an impressive 216.13 over 24 games.
Jarrod’s campaign started with a spectacular performance in the singles event, where he shot a total of 1,391, including a perfect 300 game, which earned him the silver medal in that event. In the doubles event, Jarrod posted another solid performance, shooting 1,343 pins, and he maintained his high standards in the trio’s event, again knocking down 1,343 pins to keep himself firmly in the All-Events medal hunt.
His performance in the team of five event was the final piece of his All-Events campaign. Jarrod contributed 1,264 pins to the team’s total, helping Australia finish 9th in the team standings. While the team missed out on a medal, Langford’s consistent form ensured he secured the bronze medal in the overall All-Events standings.

Jarrod’s All-Events bronze makes him the only Australian male to medal in this prestigious category at the 27th Asian Championships, adding to the silver he earned in the singles event. His All-Events total of 5,187 pins sees him join the ranks of Asia’s elite bowlers, competing against the best from 22 countries.
This is the first All-Events medal since the 15th edition in 1998 when Michael Muir won silver and Cara Honeychurch won gold.
Jarrod’s outstanding form has earned him a spot in the Masters event, where the top 16 bowlers from the All-Events standings will compete in 16 games over two blocks to decide the ultimate champions. This will be Jarrod’s opportunity to add yet another medal to his tally as he represents Australia in the final stages of the Championships.
Unfortunately, despite strong showings throughout the Championships, Jordan Dinham and Chris Castle narrowly missed out on master’s qualification, finishing in 31st and 23rd place, respectively.

All of the Australian men finished in the top half of the 119-man field, a commendable achievement in itself, with Langford leading the way.
