The National Tenpin Bowling Championship for Persons with a disability will return to Queensland for the first time since 2015 with ZONE BOWLING Mt Gravatt set to host the 32nd running of the Championship from 3rd until 13th June, 2020.

The announcement came as the 2019 Championship entered its final days at ZONE BOWLING Tuggeranong with the Open and Cole Cups winners decided on Thursday, and the final events being the Restricted, Classic and Open Masters.

With over 400 bowlers competing in this year’s event in Canberra, TBA CEO Cara Honeychurch said the Joint Management Committee (JMC) are looking forward to delivering another successful championship with Queensland historically attracting record numbers.

“It’s great to be taking the Championship back to Queensland, where bowlers from across the country will not only enjoy bowling at a great centre they will also have the opportunity to check out the world class tourist attractions in South East Queensland.”

“While we are looking forward to 2020 I would like to thank all the team at ZONE BOWLING Tuggeranong for the outstanding work they have put into making this year’s tournament a huge success and we look forward to welcoming bowlers, carers and parents to ZONE BOWLING Mt Gravatt in 2020,” Honeychurch said.

Following the announcement, CEO of Tenpin Bowling Association of Queensland Gail Torrens was excited to see the championships return to the Sunshine State and has negotiated a rate for all competitors and carers heading to next year’s event.
