Meet Kaye!

Since 1995, Kaye Talbot has been an integral volunteer within the Darwin and Northern Territory Tenpin Bowling associations. Her extensive involvement includes serving on the Darwin Fundraising Committee and initiating participation in the People’s Choice Lottery, significantly boosting funds for the NTTBA. As the Tournament Secretary for the Arafura Games from the 1990s to 2011, Kaye played a crucial role in NT’s participation.

Kaye’s commitment extends deeply into coaching, where she began as a Level One coach in 1996, dedicating her Saturdays to junior leagues. She progressed to a Level Two coach in 2002, coaching at national championships and continually supporting both youth and adult bowlers. Notably, from 2007, Kaye specialised in coaching bowlers with disabilities, achieving remarkable success, including five consecutive TBA Restricted Cup wins and two Cole Cup victories.

Her leadership roles include Treasurer of the National Disabilities Committee and contributions to the National Inclusion Training Squad. Kaye’s tireless commitment as a volunteer coach has profoundly impacted the tenpin bowling community. Thanks for all you do Kaye!

3 Cheers for Kaye!

To celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to thank all our volunteers who make our sport possible by giving a big 3 Cheers for Volunteers!
