New Zealand Claims 2024 TBA21 National Teams Challenge Titles

New Zealand has emerged as the 2024 TBA21 National Teams Challenge champions, sweeping the point score standings to capture the Female, Male, and Overall titles.

Here’s a look at how the final day unfolded.

The 2024 TBA21 National Teams Challenge continued today at the AGL National High-Performance Centre on the Sunshine Coast, with teams vying for top honours to close out the two-day challenge. Today featured the Doubles event, along with the second and final block of the Teams event to conclude this year’s competition.

Doubles Event

Teams paired up for the Doubles event to start Day Two of the TBA21 National Teams Challenge, with New Zealand continuing their dominant run by claiming both gold medals.

With the completion of the Singles and Doubles events, the All-Events standings were finalised, calculated based solely on performances in these two events, as the Teams event was held in a Baker format.

Special congratulations to Breanna Sampson and Connor Raines for their outstanding performances across Singles and Doubles!

In addition to their medals, the top four bowlers from each division have been named All-Stars and will receive direct passes to Stage 2 of the TBA21 National Masters, beginning tomorrow. Joining the medallists are South Queensland’s Tamika Pettigrew and Victoria’s Nicholas Rajkovic who are the fourth All-Stars.

Teams Event – Final Block

Teams returned in the afternoon for the final block of the Teams event, completing another six games in Baker format.

New Zealand once again took top honours, winning gold in both divisions. South Queensland claimed silver in the female division, while Victoria secured silver and North Queensland took bronze in the male division.

Final Point Score Standings

A big congratulations to New Zealand for their clean sweep in the point score standings, winning the Female, Male, and Overall titles! South Queensland took overall silver, with Victoria securing silver in the male standings and North Queensland claiming bronze.
