Welcome to Day 3 of the 2025 TBA National Junior Championships here at Wyncity Keon Park in Victoria!

We’re heading into the final day of Championship squads, with five more squads on the schedule and the race for Cup qualification heating up across the board.

🎯 Flynn Fires First Perfect Game!

Victorian bowler Flynn Slade brought the house down yesterday, delivering the first 300 game of the Championships — and the first of his young career! The 15-year-old from Oz Tenpin Chirnside Park rolled the perfect game during his Mixed Doubles squad alongside teammate Summah Bennett, helping the pair climb to the top of the Classic Doubles leaderboard.

Flynn’s scores of 300, 257, and 183 (for a 740 series) also boosted his standings in the Australian Junior Masters qualifiers — moving him into first place, leapfrogging overnight leader Hayden Miller, who shot a 296 on Day 1.

👑 Girls Division Leaders Holding Strong

In the Girls division, Emily Starkey’s impressive 665 series from Day 1 still leads the way in both the Masters and Classic Cup standings.

Behind her:

• Emily Hinspeter (North Queensland) sits in second with a 632 series
• Summah Bennett (Victoria) climbs into third with a 604, posted during her Mixed Doubles run with Flynn Slade

All three remain in the top tier across both the Masters and Classic Cup leaderboards.

🌏 Kiwis in Control for the Restricted Cup

Harmony Herewini and Lachlan Pukeroa, both representing New Zealand, are currently leading the charge in the Restricted Cup qualifiers.

⏳ Last Chance to Qualify!

Today marks the final opportunity for bowlers to complete their Championship squads and qualify for the Cup events.

Here’s how the cuts work:

• Restricted Cup – Top 16 boys and girls qualify
• Classic Cup – Top 24 boys and girls qualify
• Australian Junior Masters – Top 24 boys and girls qualify (includes automatic state/territory Masters reps)
