Welcome to Day 7 of the 2025 TBA National Junior Championships from Wyncity Keon Park in Victoria!
With the individual events wrapped up in style, it’s now time to shift our focus to the passion, pride, and power of team bowling — the TBA President’s Junior Shield. This year marks the 51st edition of the event, a true cornerstone of junior tenpin in Australia.

🎳 What’s On Today – Shield Day 1
🕗 8:00 AM – Team Photos
🕘 9:00 AM – Official Opening Ceremony
🕤 9:45 AM – President’s Shield Rounds 1–3
🕧 12:30 PM – Lunch & Re-oil
🕑 2:00 PM – President’s Shield Rounds 4–7
📋 Lane Assignments & Team Numbers
Each State/Territory/Zone will compete with one boys team and one girls team. New South Wales doesn’t have a girls team this year, so the sixth team in the girls division will be a BYE.

🧪 Oil Pattern
The Shield will be bowled on the same oil pattern used throughout the Championships — the 47ft TBA Cane Toad. After several days of exposure, expect teams to come in dialled and ready.
🎯 We’ve already seen a perfect 300 game and several near-misses on this pattern. Who will tame the toad on Day 1 of Shield?
🧮 Scoring Format
- 🟢 1 point for each individual win
- 🟠 2 bonus points awarded to the team with the most individual wins in each match-up
This simple scoring system means every game — and every frame — counts. It’s team bowling at its best.
