Excitement is building as the 2024 Women’s ranked event season is poised to commence this Easter weekend with the much-anticipated Vic150 at Zone Bowling Frankston.

Celebrating its 39th iteration, the Vic150 stands out as a distinguished and eagerly awaited event on the bowling calendar.

Boasting the most unique format of any event, participants will tackle 16 rigorous games in the qualifying rounds across both scratch and graded divisions. The competition will then intensify as the top 10 bowlers from each division pair up, advancing as teams to the exhilarating doubles final stages.

Finalists will then complete 9 games of matchplay to determine the winning pair for the event. It’s important for competitors and fans alike to note that rankings will be exclusively based on scratch division performances during the qualifying rounds.

Reigning champion Bec Whiting is set to defend her title, aiming for a record-approaching sixth Vic150 victory after triumphing alongside Shellie Van Dalen in 2023. Whiting is hot on the trail of the seven-title record held by Tenpin Bowling Australia Hall of Famer Ann-Maree Putney.

The Vic150 will be featured concurrently with the Australian Tenpin Bowling Open at Zone Bowling Frankston, offering fans a chance to enjoy top-tier bowling action over the Easter long weekend.

Tenpin Bowling Australia extends its best wishes for success and high scores to all participants. Stay tuned for the event recap scheduled for release the Tuesday following Easter.
