Preview – Grand National Youth Eliminator 2025

The final TBA nationally ranked event of the 2025 tournament season arrives this weekend at Caboolture Bowl, as Australia’s top young bowlers converge for the Grand National Youth Eliminator.
Now in its fifth edition since debuting in 2019, the Eliminator serves as the fourth and final stop on the TBA Youth division tour, and once again, the event is completely sold out.
How the event Works
Stage One Qualifying – Saturday
All competitors will complete 10 games across Day 1, battling for position and a place in Sunday’s action.
Stage Two – Sunday Morning
The top 12 males and top 12 females progress to Stage Two, bowling four additional games, with pinfall carried from qualification, to determine the top eight in each division.
Stage Three – Eliminator Finals – Sunday Afternoon
Caboolture’s signature ‘footy finals’ format takes centre stage.
- Round 1 (2 Games): The top four aim to progress straight into Round 3, the bottom four bowl to survive elimination.
- Round 2 (1 Game): Losers from Round 1 meet winners of the 5v8 and 6v7 matchups.
- Round 3 (1 Game): Determines the Grand Finalists
- Grand Final: A one-game showdown for the 2025 title
Who’s Chasing the Crown?
Reigning champions Brianna Walsh and Lachlan Howse return to defend their 2024 titles, with a strong field looking to challenge in the final major of the year.
