The 2025 TBA Open Division tournament season wraps up this weekend with a brand-new addition to the national calendar. The inaugural Gunspray Salisbury Open will take place at Bowland Salisbury, South Australia, from 15-16 November 2025, marking a fresh and exciting finish to the year.
Proudly presented by naming-rights sponsor Gunspray, the event carries the support of long-time South Australian bowling champions Lorraine and Leon Brady. Gunspray and GIPS Pipes are respected local operators, delivering expert insulation and freight solutions across the state.
All competitors will complete 10 games of qualifying on nominated squads (capacity:48 per squad) with two squads in play. At the conclusion of qualifying, the top 28 bowlers will progress to Stage 2, with pinfall carried forward.
Stage 2: The top 28 bowlers will complete six additional games, forming a 16-game total used to determine the top 12 who advance to the final stage.
Stage 3: The final 12 bowlers enter 11 games of matchplay, earning 30 bonus pins for a win and 15 bonus pins for a tie.
At the end of the matchplay round, the bowler with the highest total pinfall (including bonus) will be crowned the 2025 Gunspray Salisbury Open Champion.
Tenpin Bowling Australia wishes all bowlers the best of luck and high scoring in Salisbury.
