After a successful debut last year, School Sport Victoria (SSV), in partnership with Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA), is proud to announce the return of the SSV Tenpin Bowling Championship in 2025.

This exciting event offers students across Victoria a chance to represent their schools in a fun, inclusive, and accessible sport that caters to all abilities.

“We’re thrilled to bring this event back in 2025 after such a fantastic introduction last year,” said TBA CEO Kurt Wilson. “With our renewed four-year partnership with SSV, we’re committed to growing tenpin bowling within the school community and inspiring the next generation of bowlers.”

Competition Format

The SSV Tenpin Bowling Championship is a four-person team event, where each team bowls two games. There are three divisions available:

  1. Primary School
  2. Secondary School
  3. Disability/Multiclass

The event is delivered in three stages:

  • Stage 1: Qualifying
  • Stage 2: Regional Finals
  • Stage 3: State Final

Stage 1 – Qualifying (6 October – 6 November 2025)

Schools can visit a participating bowling centre during the qualifying window to complete their games. The format is designed to be flexible, allowing schools to register as many teams as they like and attend qualification when it suits. Whether it’s one team or ten, there’s room for everyone.

The Disability/Multiclass division ensures students of all abilities can take part and experience the excitement of bowling.
