Stacked Field Set for 26th Queensland Ladies Classic

A proud tradition returns this weekend as the 26th edition of the Queensland Ladies Classic gets underway at Caboolture Bowl.

The Queensland Ladies Classic marks Event Three of the 2025 TBA Women’s Division and will again bring together some of the top female talents in the country for one of the most respected events on the calendar.

Hot on the heels of the Kegel Queensland Open, Caboolture Bowl is set for a second straight weekend of high-stakes, nationally ranked action—this time with a sharp focus on the Women’s Division.

The event’s rich history began in 1999, when Kirstie Mills was crowned the inaugural champion. Since then, the roll of honour has featured some of Australia’s most decorated female bowlers—including none more dominant than Bec Whiting, who enters this weekend aiming for an incredible seventh Queensland Ladies Classic title. Already a winner in 2025 at the Vic150, Whiting will look to extend her legacy even further.

Fellow 2025 titleholder Bek Martin, who opened the season with a win at the Suncity Women’s Open, will be absent as she continues her recovery from injury.

Local favourite and defending champion Alicia Melton returns in search of back-to-back victories at her home centre, while senior rankings leader Dena Buxton looks to make a major impact by claiming an open division crown. A strong mix of experienced names and emerging talent is set to make this one of the most compelling editions yet.

All bowlers will compete in a single squad format, with 14 games of qualifying across the weekend—eight on Saturday and six on Sunday. From there, the top 16 bowlers by pinfall will contest four additional games before the top eight advance to the exciting ‘Footy Finals Format’ bracket to determine the 2025 Queensland Ladies Classic Champion.
