Tenpin Bowling Australia is thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting, brand-new competition: The Virtual Tenpin Schools Championship.

Designed to bring the sport of tenpin bowling into schools across Australia, this initiative is flexible and allows schools to have fun and compete in Tenpin Bowling when they want and make connections with their local bowling centre for a roll!

From Monday, March 11 to Friday, June 28, the inaugural championship will take place, inviting primary, secondary and disability schools from all states and territories to participate in Term 1 and 2 of the school year.

  • Entry and Participation: For registration fee of $50, schools can enter the competition, allowing their students to enter their competition as many times as they like during the competition period. Note: This fee does not cover the game rate at bowling centres.
  • Competition Categories: Competitors can enter the competition as individuals representing their school, doubles (teams of two from the same school), or even represent their entire school in a bid to claim the title of the school with the most pins knocked down across Australia!
  • Bowl in and out of school time: If your school has registered for the competition, and you’re keen to venture to your local bowling centre for an extra roll individually or with a school mate, you can! All pins knocked down will contribute to the National leaderboard!
  • Submitting Scores: After hitting the lanes, snap a photo of your score and send it through to [email protected]. Don’t forget to include your school’s name with your submission! After submitting your school’s score, keep a look out on Tenpin Bowling Australia’s social media channels to see the updated leaderboard!

Prizes will be awarded to schools after the competition closes at the end of June. Including school portable bowling kits with balls, bags, pins, and mats. A fantastic way to bring the sport back to your school and encourage more students to participate.

The Virtual Tenpin Championship provides a fun and flexible environment for schools to bowl at their local centre and is another commitment to Tenpin Bowling Australia’s growing the sport and fostering a new generation of bowlers. By participating, schools and students can make connections with their local bowling centre and the opportunities provided for junior bowlers!
