On November 22nd, Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) showcased the benefits of tenpin bowling at the ACHPER Victoria Conference 2024, held at Monash University in Melbourne. This event gathered teachers statewide to explore innovative strategies for enhancing health, physical education, and recreation programs.
At TBA’s booth, attendees discovered how bowling can be seamlessly integrated into schools using portable carpeted lanes, lightweight pins, and balls. TBA staff demonstrated the sport’s accessibility and highlighted its role in improving coordination, focus, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
With the conference being held at Monash University’s state-of-the-art facilities, TBA presented teachers some engaging games targeting participation for students, including Roll 50, Bingo Bowling, and Speed Bowling. These activities illustrated how bowling nurtures skill development, collaboration, and fun in both classroom and extracurricular settings.
Through its participation, TBA emphasized bowling’s versatility as a tool for promoting active lifestyles and lifelong fitness habits, inspiring teachers to incorporate tenpin bowling into their sports programs for Term 4.
TBA thanks ACHPER Victoria for the opportunity to engage with educators and Monash University for its excellent facilities. We look forward to inspiring teachers to bring tenpin bowling into schools and making a lasting impact on the next generation through this dynamic and inclusive sport.
