Tenpin Bowling Australia is thrilled to announce the official selection of athletes who will represent the nation at the 2025 IBF World Cup, set to take place from January 5-14 at the state-of-the-art Kai Tak Sports Park Bowling Centre in Hong Kong, China.

Australia will send its maximum official delegation, comprised of four male and four female athletes. The selection process followed the National Team Selection Policy, with over 70 applications received from National Training Squad athletes across all age groups. A three-person selection committee made the final decisions, resulting in a team that showcases a blend of youth and experience.

Colin Linton will lead the team as head coach as he currently sits as the interim head coach of the Open NTS.

The selected team is as follows:

This marks the first IBF World Cup since Australia hosted the prestigious event on the Sunshine Coast in 2022. With 28 federations from around the world already indicating their participation, excitement is building for a spectacular tournament.

The 2025 World Cup will feature a similar format to previous editions, with an emphasis on both federation vs. federation and bowler vs. bowler competitions. There will be two major titles on offer: the Singles Title and the Teams Title, with a four-round format set to challenge the best bowlers in the world.

The venue, Kai Tak Sports Park, is a stunning 28-hectare futuristic precinct with 40 bowling lanes, providing an incredible stage for this global showdown.

As the team prepares for this thrilling event to kick off the new year, Tenpin Bowling Australia congratulates the selected athletes. We are confident they will represent Australia with pride and are ready to take on the world in pursuit of glory! We also extend our gratitude to all the bowlers who participated in the expression of interest process.

Stay tuned for updates as Team Australia gears up for the 2025 IBF World Cup!
