Tenpin Bowling Australia is pleased to confirm the athletes who will represent Australia at the upcoming 2025 IBF World Senior Championships, set to take place in Reno, Nevada, USA later this year.

The championships will feature two divisions — Senior (50+) and Grand Senior (65+) — with nations permitted to send a maximum of four men and four women in each. Australia will once again field a full team across both categories, reflecting the depth and strength of talent within the national senior ranks.

Grand Senior

The IBF World Senior Championships is a premier global event on the tenpin calendar, bringing together the best senior bowlers from around the world to compete in Singles, Doubles, Team and All-Events categories with the aim to qualify for Masters.

The event will be hosted at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, from the 13-23 October 2025. Australia will look to build on past success and showcase the strength, skill and sportsmanship that define our senior bowling community.

Pathway Through HPS

All selected athletes are current members of the Senior High Performance Squad (HPS) — part of Tenpin Bowling Australia’s recently restructured national high performance pathway. The HPS program focuses on consistency, athlete development, and international preparation, providing a strong foundation for success on the world stage.

Selections were made based on a combination of national and international performances, commitment to the HPS program, and alignment with the competition standards of the International Bowling Federation (IBF).

Leadership & Preparation

The team will be led by Senior HPS Head Coach Andrew Frawley, one of Australia’s most experienced bowling coaches and a respected figure on the international scene. Bob Whybrow will join the campaign as Assistant Coach, with a focus on supporting the Grand Senior division.

Preparations will ramp up in the lead-up to October, with squad activities and targeted training planned to help athletes fine-tune their performances ahead of the international challenge.

Tenpin Bowling Australia congratulates all selected athletes and wishes them the very best in their preparations for Reno.
