Team Australia Named for 2026 IBF World Cup

Tenpin Bowling Australia is proud to announce the eight athletes who will represent the green and gold at the 2026 IBF World Cup in Munich, Germany.
Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) has today confirmed the eight-strong squad that will compete at the 2026 IBF World Cup, to be held from 12-21 October 2026 at Max Munich Bowling in Brunnthal, Munich, Germany.
The campaign is supported by Chemist Warehouse, Major Partner of Team Australia and the National High Performance Program.
Presented by QubicaAMF and hosted by the German Bowling Federation (DBU), the 2026 edition marks the first time the IBF World Cup has been staged in Europe – bringing together elite bowlers from International Bowling Federation member nations to compete for both Singles and Team world titles across a nine-day event.
Team Australia will be represented by four men and four women, selected on the back of strong performances through TBA’s Chemist Warehouse High Performance pathway.

TBA National Bowling and Operations Manager Nathan Stein said the squad reflected the depth building across the sport nationally.
“This is an exciting group to be sending to Munich. The women’s team is a great blend of experience and youth – we’ve got athletes who know what it takes to perform on the world stage alongside some exciting up-and-comers, and that mix of composure and hunger is going to serve them well over a nine-day campaign. On the men’s side, this team is really a statement about where our sport is heading where it’s built around the rising young talent we’ve been developing through the High-Performance pathway, and it’s a great chance for them to test themselves against the best in the world.
“We also acknowledge the continued support of Chemist Warehouse, whose partnership with Team Australia and our National High Performance Program helps support our athletes as they prepare for international competition and we’re looking forward to seeing them represent Australia with pride in Germany.”
About the 2026 IBF World Cup
The World Cup will see athletes compete across both Singles and Team formats, with all bowlers first contesting an individual qualifying round before progressing through match play brackets to the finals. Competition will be held at a 30-lane centre featuring QubicaAMF EDGE String pinsetters and BES X scoring, with the official event pattern to be announced closer to the event.

Team Australia will complete its final preparations over the coming months before travelling to Germany in October.
