Tasmania launches bold new campaign to get more people bowling

Tenpin Bowling Tasmania has launched its latest promotional campaign, There’s Nothing Like a Strike — a bold and vibrant call to action encouraging Tasmanians of all ages to hit the lanes, have a laugh, and rediscover the joy of bowling.

Whether it’s the sound of the pins crashing, the friendly competition with mates, or just escaping the everyday grind — there’s truly nothing like it.

“Bowling has always been about more than just the game,” said Garry Crick, President of Tenpin Bowling Tasmania. “It’s fun, social, active and accessible to everyone — no matter your age, ability or experience. This campaign is about reminding people just how good it feels to roll a strike, and encouraging new and returning bowlers to join in. That may be a social game or joining a league.”

The campaign features real stories from local bowlers, vibrant digital content, and promotions at bowling centres across Tasmania — from the recently renovated The Alley Entertainment Centre in Devonport to Launceston Lanes and Zone Bowling Moonah in Hobart.

Social media ads, in-centre promotions and short video reels will showcase the excitement and inclusivity that make tenpin bowling such a popular pastime.

To celebrate the launch, Tenpin Bowling Tasmania is inviting the community to simply “Try Bowling” — making it the perfect time to bring friends, family or colleagues together for some healthy fun.

“We’re seeing more and more people looking for ways to connect, stay active and enjoy life offline,” said Karen Commane, Campaign Coordinator. “Bowling offers all that and more — and we can’t wait to see the community get behind this campaign.”
